Heather Russell began her legal career as law clerk for The Honorable Claude M Hilton Chief Judge of US District Court Eastern District of Virginia right after college and has continued to expand upon this initial legal opportunity that has expanded over various organizations with continued growth and responsibility.
For 7 years, after that initial position, Heather Russell served Sadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates as Counsel for 7 years where she developed strong legal expertise in business law that would continue throughout her professional career and experiences going forward. After that successful tenure, she became Associate General Counsel for Bank of America where she served for five years. She quickly continued her accelerated career path and growth with an appointment at BNY Milton where she served as Global Chief Regulatory Counsel Head Office of Public Policy and Regulation Affairs for 4 years.
In 2015, she joined Fifth Third Bank where she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer and corporate secretary for the organization for one year and provided continued corporate governance and high-level executive insight and perspective for this organization. After her success at Fifth Third Bank, she became a partner at Buckley Sandler LLP, the company where she served as Partner and provided strategic supervisory and technology practice guidance of financial institutions regulations and guidance. Currently, she has accepted the current position as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Counsel for TransUnion a global credit agency where she will provide continued expertise in consumer privacy functions, corporate governance, governmental regulations knowledge and various other functions including customer privacy that will continue to solidify her professional portfolio and provide TransUnion with a key addition that will continue to expand on their track record of success.
